Since 2003, Emily actively developed "eCompuChinese Teaching Methodology" and piloted it in Toronto OCAC's "Computer Assisted Chinese Learning Programs".  Packaged with computer/web technology, eCompuChinese Teaching Methodology eliminated the historical Chinese learning barrier caused by writing of traditional Chinese, and converted it into a positive factor to assist Chinese learning, which greatly propelled the overseas Chinese language and culture heritage preservation.

Since 2004, Emily served as consultant for "Better Chinese", worked with education experts in Beijin, co-developed "My First Chinese Reader" and conducted highly successful teaching experiment with "Magical Tour of China".

2003, Experiment Chinese Learning Program at Metro Square:
Thanks to the availability of computer, projector and high speed internet, OCAC's Global Chinese Language and Culture Center website became the core component of chosen teaching materials.  This website's children' poems, stories, idioms, cartoons etc. all played major roles in computer assisted Chinese teaching.  Multimedia teaching materials and interactivity from website made the class hours fly by so fast.  The program at 2 hours a week and 40 weeks a year easily had the students master at least 300 characters.  The students could also use typing softwre to type the exercise, create dictionary, make PowerPoint and even help their parents type home letter / community announcement and chat with relatives and friends in Taiwan in Chinese.  More interestingly, some teenagers type Chinese note to communicate with their parents on some teen sensitive topics, which was another value-added by-product.
